Fiesta Dog Parade Details & Registration

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
  • Location: Downtown Santa Barbara. Participants will gather at De La Guerra Plaza starting at 10 AM, then proceed to State Street up to Canon Perdido, then loop back on State to enter Paseo Nuevo Mall. The event will conclude with DJ Darla Bea, vendor tables, and a Red Carpet experience for the costume contest winners!  
  • Parade Start Time: 11:00 AM
  • Finale: Post-parade celebration with awards and vendors

  • Best in Show: Awarded to the most creative, eye-catching costume that truly steals the spotlight.

  • Best Group Entry: Honors the group that shows the most creativity and coordination in their group theme.
  • Best Wagon or Stroller Decoration: Recognizes the most imaginative and beautifully decorated wagon or stroller.

Registration

Participation is limited and available by advance registration only.

Pricing:

  • $45 for the first dog
  • $15 for each additional dog (up to 3 dogs total)

Each registration includes:

  • Entry for up to 4 people
  • A commemorative bandana for each dog

Spots are limited—early registration is encouraged to secure your place in this inaugural one-of-a-kind event.

Participation Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all:

  • Dogs must be friendly and comfortable around people and other dogs.
  • All dogs must remain on a leash throughout the event.
  • Participants should come prepared to celebrate responsibly and respectfully.

Waiver and Release of Liability

I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions as a requirement for participation in the Fiesta Dog Parade:

I understand that participation in the Fiesta Dog parade involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury to myself, my pet(s), or others. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

I confirm that my pet is in good health and up-to-date with vaccinations. I will not bring my pet to the event if they are unwell.

I agree to keep my pet on a leash (no longer than 6 feet) at all times and to maintain control of my pet during the event. I acknowledge that I am responsible for my pet’s behavior.

I understand that aggressive pets are not allowed. If my pet exhibits aggressive behavior, including reactivity to other dogs, I will remove them from the event immediately.

I agree to clean up after my pet and properly dispose of any waste in designated bins.

I consent to the use of photographs and videos taken during the event for promotional purposes by Old Spanish Days Fiesta and Paseo Nuevo.

I release and hold harmless Old Spanish Days, its organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners from any liability for injury, loss, or damage to person or property that may occur as a result of participation in the Fiesta Dog parade.

I agree to comply with all event rules and guidelines provided by Old Spanish Days and its representatives.
