Old Spanish Days – Fiesta

Santa Barbara, CA. July 31 - August 4, 2024

Thank You From El Presidente 2023

Posted Oct 05, 2023

It has been an honor to serve as El Presidente 2023. As we look back, it’s important to thank our sponsors and collaborative partners, our many community volunteers, and the City and County of Santa Barbara. Everyone contributed to making Fiesta 2023 a memorable, fun and safe community event. Thank you!

Thank You From El Presidente 2023-Cropped

Fiesta is extremely important. It supports local businesses and non profits. It provides a platform for our local youth arts dance community. It keeps alive the history, traditions and culture that make Santa Barbara a special place. Fiesta brings together friends, family, colleagues and neighbors. Fiesta unites our community.

Each year on this first Wednesday of October, Old Spanish Days transitions from one El Presidente to the next. Tonight at 6 pm during our Annual Meeting we welcome and extend best wishes to El Presidente 2024 Brian Schwabecher.

Next year will be the 100th anniversary of the very first Fiesta held in 1924. It will be a special year for our community.

As we look to next year and the future, please continue to support and participate in Fiesta. Our annual festival means a lot to our community. Santa Barbara is special, and Fiesta is special.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your Fiesta 2023. We had great coverage throughout the Fiesta year from our partners at KEYT NewsChannel. Below is a link to some of the 2023 highlights.
